The film I found more action based rather than horror, and I remember playing a game on the amega when I was young that was based up on this film  it was called "IT CAME FROM THE DESERT (1989)"

where you had to shoot the antenner off the ants head and try and convince the town about the threat of the giant ants in the game.




The film in general I engoyed due to this child hood link, though I never got to complete the game as there was no save botton.
